Karafarin Bank contributes to the development of Siastragi Mine Project

In executing its policies on supporting the development of Iran’s under developed regions, Karafarin Bank has decided to participate in developing the Siastragi Mine by allocating IRR1,000 billion towards financing this project, Public Relations reported.

This project involves the construction of a copper plant which in close proximity to Zahdan city, in the Baluchestan province in south-east Iran.
Project work began in 2020-21 and is expected to be utilised by mid-2023. Nominal capacity of this plant (which is to produce 99.99% grade copper cathode) is expected to stand at 3,000 tons/annum.
Once launched, this project is expected to create 250 jobs for nearby villagers, and for other people in this province.
