<p dir="LTR"><span>TEHRAN TIMES- About $350 million worth of Iranian carpets were exported during the last Iranian calendar year (ended March 20) registering a 27 percent increase compared to the preceding year, Tasnim news agency quoted Hamid Kargar, the head of Iran's National Carpet Center.</span></p> <p dir="LTR"><span>According to the official, in terms of weight the figure also increased by 16.5 percent during the mentioned period.</span></p> <p dir="LTR"><span>The United States of America ranked first among the top buyers of Iranian carpet.</span></p> <p dir="LTR"><span> “The U.S., Germany, Lebanon, UAE, Pakistan, Japan, UK, Qatar, South Africa and Australia were the importers of Iranian carpet among which the U.S. ranked first,” Kargar said.</span></p> <p dir="RTL"> </p>
