<p dir="LTR"><span>Financial Tribune – Part-time workers constitute 9-10% of Iran’s employed population, the head of Statistical Center of Iran said.</span></p> <p dir="LTR"><span>Omid Ali Parsa added that there are 23.8 million full-time employees in the country. </span></p> <p dir="LTR"><span>According to the SCI chief, unemployment is defined as a state of not working for even an hour and part-time employees are those who work between one and 44 hours a week.</span></p> <p dir="LTR"><span>Parsa put the number of unemployed people in Iran at 3.1 million.</span></p> <p dir="LTR"><span>The Statistical Center of Iran’s latest report on Iran’s unemployment shows Iran’s jobless rate in the second quarter of the current fiscal year (June 22-Sept. 22) stood at 11.7%, registering a 1% drop compared with the same period of last year and a 0.9% decrease compared with the previous quarter.</span></p>
